Rupert, you will always be charmingly naive and British, never stupid. Women know what the chrome thing is - it's part of our annual physical exam. I feel like I should say no more in polite company. Actually you just reminded me the funniest part of screening this film in my class. There were 20 students, of which only two were women, and the teacher was male. None of the male students knew what the chrome thing was. The other woman cracked up laughing when she saw it. The teacher said "Is that what I think it is?" When I nodded he muttered "didn't see that coming at all..." Thank you, gents.

It's funny and off-kilter creepy in the same way that early surrealist films were... :) I shot a few films on b&w 16mm as well - and cut a couple of them on film, which i loved more than any other part of any filmmaking process.
