I’m a little behind in my vlog watching. For obvious reasons this one hit home! Thanks for your nice comment on my car fire video. My car did burn, but I made up the part about the money. I like to keep everyone on their toes — media is dangerous, you know!! I hope you aren’t mad.

Heath, I shot for a total of 13 minutes & 20 seconds, making three separate clips. The total time was probably 20-30 minutes. The building manager came into our classroom, told us that a car had caught fire in the parking lot, and asked us to remain inside. I ran to the window and turned on my camera, and we heard the siren from the fire truck 50 seconds later. They showed up really fast, particularly when you realize the street we’re on was nearly impassable at the time due to construction of light rail.

You didn’t tell me you were a hard news hound too. I was going to say hot off the press, but I won’t.

You did that brilliantly. Let that be a lesson to your students. In fact you couldn’t have organized it better.

Was slightly fearful those guys were rather close with their hoses, though. I felt something was going to blow any minute. Thankfully, alls well that ends well…
