You've got a nice collection there. I wish I had things like that to remember ancestors by. I don't even have many pictures. That's an old copy of "The Gold Bug" you have there! I like old books.

Great video.

You are so lucky to have this continuity. My family is so dysfunctional, I have very few mementos of the past or representations of a family history. I know you cherish your ancestor shelf. I sure would if I had one!

Very cool! We're honored to be a part of the vlog. I'd forgotten your connection to Edgar Allen Poe! Creativity runs strong in your family. Great idea...........one I'd like to do for my family as well.
You continue to inspire me Cheryl. I'm so glad we're friends!

This is really wonderful.
I'm so often so affected by your films.
Apart from anything else, it's a fantastic idea.
So many cultures through time have done this.
And despite having read about it so much - I studied Classics - it's never occurred to me to do the same.
You've inspired me.
But your shrine is so personal and so moving, in the things you choose to keep.
That old picture of your grandparents is incredible.
Thank you so much

I could watch a thousand videos and not be touched by any of them like you touched me with this one Cheryl.

It was truly an honor to watch this.

Thank you so very much.

A wonderful collection of ancestral keepsakes all together in a central place like they ought to be.

You've reminded me that I have to go into the closet and rescue "The Box". The Box contains all my mom's Dad's family stuffs unearthed from years of family tree research.

They don't have a proper place in my home yet. Perhaps soon they will!
