I am sick of the poorly made products, inhumane treatment of workers, lack of choices in the shops, exorbitant prices, and the polluting effects of the globalized marketplace, all in the service of corporate greed. Etsy.com is a great website for all handmade stuff. There is the (environmental) cost of transportation if you’re buying something from abroad, but I still think it’s great. Better still, make stuff yourself. If anyone wants to learn how to make paper or knit, let me know and I’ll make a video about it.
