Ha ha! @David, you taught me that during NaVloPoMo by starting out committed to only shooting on your phone, then going "Fuck that, it's not making me happy or satisfying me creatively and I don't have to do it!" Which I found incredibly liberating. Change your mind! Anytime! Woo HOO! (Oooooh. Head rush.)

@Rupert - yes, I also need to calm the fuck down. For sure. And in terms of that "other video," before making it I really did feel there was an unwritten rule that you can't say anything remotely negative about Steve/Zadi/EpicFU/Jetset. I felt the pressure. That's why my video is so lousy in terms of me reading from a script. I just had to hurry and get it out there before the perceived external pressure not to do it took over. (I did not feel that same pressure regarding Vu or Veronica.) While it did not work out entirely as I had hoped - what ever does? - I learned a TON and am therefore glad I went ahead.

Good for you :) Not quite sure I understand how I taught you about changing agendas though?

Very excited to hear about your new project!

Privilege indeed. Certainly for me to have met you, to have met so many new people, to have touched the hem of so many lovable, supportive vloggers/artists/creatives . Quite amazing. Hope springs eternal...I hope.

So here's to you, lovely woman. A big thank you :)

... by the way - I thought you couldn't have been any clearer in your other video that you were trying to raise constructive questions, not attacking anybody for anything. It showed me - as much as you say it's shown you - that people often react violently to the slightest hint of criticism. And if you say it wasn't intended that way, they'll often then accuse you of being passive aggressive!
Whatever.
Anyway, I was thinking about how I thought this kind of behaviour was particularly prevalent online where people can be angry or nasty at a distance (or even anonymously) and excuse it as 'flaming' (a bullshit euphemism) or as 'heated discussion'.
But then I realised that although I try always to inhibit this response and respond civilly, I am actually much more guilty of getting angry about slight criticisms in real life, person to person. And it made me realise that i just want to calm the fuck down when I'm stressed and stop getting cross about stuff. So that's an unexpected result from your videos and a New Year's resolution for me in 2008 :)

YAY.
Lovely.
Thanks for this. I keep talking about how much I've learned in the last year, but haven't sat down to itemise any of it. Now I will.
I liked the ums and ahs cut out. I like to do that myself. I think it lets me feel more comfortable finding my way with what I'm saying, and allows me to control the rhythm a bit better and cut out other stuff I've said without anyone noticing.
