@Clintus, yes, this was shot on my iPhone (original firmware) that I had jailbroken so I could add the installer. I used the iPhone Video Recorder application to shoot this. It has always allowed me to shoot more than 30 seconds.

Now I've updated my iPhone to the 2.0 firmware, so I've lost the ability to use that app. But it won't be long before I can jailbreak and install it again - I can't wait! I miss it like mad.

Did you shoot this with your iPhone? Did you unlock it to shoot more than 30secs?

I'd never heard of a javelina, either! Peccary, yes. But javelina, no...but what a great name. Just looked them up. They seem fairly tame to look at. But then that's just what I was thinking once when I went to stroke a cute looking miniature dachshund and it nearly took my hand off.

The idea of raindrops drying so quickly is quite appealing. It's rained hard all day here in London. I've been soaked through twice! If you see the summer on your travels could you maybe point it in our direction. Thank you.

Yes, razorback hogs! LOL! Only because the way their hair grows, they end up with longer guard hairs looking like a mohawk haircut running down their spines. Which makes them the original punk rockers I guess. I once crossed paths with a family of javelina at night in the woods, and their hoofbeats certainly sounded to me like the opening of a Ramones set, minus guitar, bass and Dee Dee Ramone's rapid-fire onetwothreefoh! Or was that my heartbeat?

Javelina??
I've never even heard of them.
From Wikipedia: "These feral pigs are popularly known as razorback hogs."
RAZORBACK HOGS??
you see? every time i watch your videos, i discover some kind of crazy new natural phenomenon.
thanks for the rain and for the moments in the yard. in the last few minutes, you and jen and david have conspired to make me want to pick up my phone and shoot some moving mobile photographs again. each one of your videos has been like peering through little portals into another reality.

The javelina are relatively people-shy around these parts. They will behave aggressively when cornered or when their young are threatened. But mainly they seem to stroll through the yard at night when everyone's sleeping. We think they dig up a certain variety of juicy insect that nests just under ground. My mom occasionally pulls one out when pulling weeds, or we'd have no idea at all why the javelina leave fresh holes in the yard every night.

Ooh javelina, not good. Aren't they supposed to be extremely aggressive. Maybe it's just the crazy West Texas javelinas.
