There’s only three ways to deal with this level of stuff:
1) Arson
2) Emigration
3) Acceptance
I’d go for 3)
Never allow yourself to say the words “I have to clean this up” again.
Tell everyone, like Sailor does about his snakeskin jacket in Wild at Heart, that it’s a symbol of your individuality and your belief in personal freedom. Then, if they look unsure, subtly imply that they are anal retentives in need of therapy.
Works for me.
oh, and Emigration only works for around eight weeks, it seems, before the Stuff catches up again.
Oh god. That’s me, too. It never gets any easier. I tend to just let it build up until there’s a collapse and just my feet can be seen poking out, followed by a series of muffled distress calls. It’s then search and rescue teams go in and pull me out. But their patience is wearing thin. Of course they don’t accept Rupert’s no. 3. They hope for Rupert’s no. 2. But I’m inclined as the years go by towards the apocalyptic resolution of Rupert’s no.1. Now where’s those matches…
I mean…where ARE those matches.
I must be mad to think I can change this after being a clutterbutt for so long in my life, but I really don’t want to live this way. How’s this, Ru? I won’t say “I have to clean this up,” but I really do want it cleaned up, and I’m the only one who can. I want to clean this up. Arson’s looking awfully good, too. With the heat down here, I expect they’d believe “spontaneous combustion” could have occurred.
Thank you for the sympathy, both of you.
Robert, my answering machine message used to say that if you left a message and didn’t hear back from me in 48 hours, could you please send help.
You need a Valdez troll in your closet.
Cheryl, what do I need to do to be able to see these past 4 or 5 videos?
@Valdez – wow, I’d pay good money to have a Valdez troll in my closet until mid-August, I really would.
@Janice, I think you probably need the most recent version of QuickTime. Sorry about that.
Looks like you made a dent in it this day. Curious what your method is for the time lapse. I’ve really wanted to do one but haven’t got around to research the best method.
@Clintus a very tiny dent!
I made a screencast awhile back for recording time lapse using iMovieHD (part of iLife06).
I can’t find the same settings in the iLife08 version of iMovie, so you have to download the older version if you haven’t already.
I’ve done time lapse before with Final Cut Pro, but I think I did it with a setting in the Sony PD-150 camera instead of with any special FCP setting.
I soooo feel your pain!
